People always say "It must be nice to be rich".
Yes, it is. You're right. It is nice.
As a rich person, who was once a poor person - I want to explain to you how being rich genuinely affects how I live my life.
When I say poor, I was poor.
My mother and father divorced when I was 10, my dad stayed in the USA and me, my brother, my sister, and my mother moved back to England.
We were raised by the government, my mother didn't have a job.
I didn't have a phone, or nice clothes, the usual story.
My first job at 15, I would run 4 miles, work 10 hours and run 4 miles home...because nobody in the house had a car.
Now, even if I wasn't rich - I could have a nice job, a comfortable life and a good apartment.
So comparing my current wealth to back then is stupid.
Let's compare my life now to if I was making 200k a year in a very well-paying job.
Let me start by saying most rich people shit, is exactly that, shit.
I've drunk 500 Euro bottles of wine, smoked 1000 Euro cigars, and eaten 700 Euro steaks.
None of it is worth the money. It's all overpriced garbage.
If I was making 200k a year I would have a very nice life. Would eat good food and go on nice holidays etc.
There are only THREE rich people things that I currently do, that I couldn't do if I made 200k a year.
1) TRAVEL in first class or private planes.
This is worth every penny. Not only for comfort but to finally be treated as a human and not a piece of cattle with a set feeding time.
After traveling high level for a while, you realize how little dignity is in traditional air travel.
The long lines, the lack of space, the "stay hungry and wait till we give you food", all of that disappears with first and private.
This is a big luxury.
2) I LOVE supercars.
Supercars are a completely different experience from a normal car, and it's not just about going faster. Things become an event in a Lambo.
In a normal car, you go down the road for lunch.
In the Lambo, you drive 2 hours, go to a lunch spot, and drive two hours home.
LUNCH becomes a THING because it’s you and a beauty queen in a Lamborghini.
Maybe this doesn't make sense to you and that’s ok, I hope you buy one and on that day you will see.
3) PEOPLE.
But the BEST thing about being rich?
You can spend time with PEOPLE you like, I live with my brother and my cousin because I want to.
I live with my BEST friends.
We laugh all day, every day.
I can spend as much time with beautiful women as I choose.
No, we don't need to wait till Friday night to go on a date, we can go somewhere cool right now, this Monday morning.
The three things above are the things I'm THANKFUL for.
Those are the things that always remind me in my mind "Hey Tate, you made it, smile".
That's all being rich is.
The only luxury in life is having the time to enjoy things.
And all of you should be looking to get rich to spend as much time with your friends, women, and kids as possible.
That's the point of living.
